Explain~
The Korean War was basically started because of communism. North Korea invaded South Korea in hope to force their beliefs on other nations. North Korea had the support of China as well as the Soviet Union while South Korea had the aid of America and other Western powers. South Korea wanted to be independent and have a more democratic style of ruling, while North Korea wanted to control all of Korea in a way of communism.
There was no "winner" when it comes to the Korean War. Both sides were tired and neither wanted to go farther into each other's territory. They had finally finished playing hot potato with who had control of what. The war ended suddenly with South Korea remaining independent.

Contrast~
The Korean War was not as wide-spread as most wars. Most wars go into the other's territory and only care about winning. The war did not have as many conflicts as you would think a war would however. Although the war had many nations, they were most commonly known as the North and the South. Most wars also have a obvious "winner." However, there was no such thing when it came to the Korean War. They, instead, agreed. It seemed as if they agreed to disagree. Although the war was not as big as most, I still view it as so. Many lives were lost and many nations were involved in it as well. All because of the idea of communism.
